" This is a good school and parents are very pleased with it. As one parent said, reflecting the views of many, 'The school is a happy and caring place in which children learn well.' Partnerships are excellent ... Parents value the teachers and say, for example, that 'teachers are open and supportive of the children' and that 'there is a pupil/teacher relationship built on trust and respect'. When asked what they like about school, pupils are quick to say that they really appreciate the way that teachers give up time to 'plan and organise interesting lessons, extra activities and visits' and they also emphasise that the adults make them feel safe." Ofsted, November 2007.

School Council
Elected representatives from each year group meet regularly to form the school council. They have a small budget which they can use to improve the school environment for children. Past initiatives have resulted in the purchase of small goalposts for use during playtimes, the planting of willow structures to provide further play areas, new wet playtime games and ornamental statues for the spiritual garden.
Friends of Hartpury School
We are very fortunate to be supported by the Friends of Hartpury School, an active parent association who organise a wide variety of social and fundraising activities throughout the year. Recent donations have enabled the school to purchase interactive whiteboards, new books for the library and outside equipment for the Foundation Stage.
